I Installed Ubuntu on My ThinkPad with WSL2, and It Runs Smoothly
Today, for the first time, I installed Ubuntu on my ThinkPad T14s using WSL2.
Until now, whenever I put Ubuntu on a ThinkPad, I always deleted Windows and used only Ubuntu. I never used WSL2 because my computer has only 16GB of memory, and I thought running Windows and Linux together would make everything slow.
The CPU is a 10th-generation Intel Core i7, with 16GB of memory. It’s a little old, so I thought running Windows and Ubuntu at the same time would be too heavy. But when I actually tried it, Linux ran smoothly, and I was surprised. I had worried for nothing.
So I decided to start writing this blog today.
Why I’m writing this blog
I have many reasons, but there are two main ones.
First, I want to stay healthy in my life after fifty.
Second, I want to study English. Right now, my English study is only half done. So I decided to write my diary in Japanese and read the same entry in English. I hope this habit will help me learn English and become healthier at the same time.
Daily records
Today I bought a new scale. But it had no batteries, so I haven’t weighed myself yet.
On this blog, I will keep these records for myself:
- Write a diary every day
- Weigh myself
- Go running
- Ride my bike
